Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Tech Aide Manager leads the coordination, execution, and optimization of frontline
imaging support operations across assigned ImageCare locations. This role is responsible
for driving efficiency in patient flow, managing Tech Aide staffing and workflows, ensuring
MRI safety compliance, and supporting onboarding, training, and departmental
performance metrics. The Tech Aide Manager serves as a cross-functional leader,
partnering with technologists, front desk teams, and regional leadership to enhance
operational efficiency, maintain regulatory standards, and deliver an optimal patient
experience.


Anyone successfully hired will need to report to our Mount Olive location on their first day for onboarding.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
Oversee day-to-day Tech Aide operations across assigned imaging center locations,
ensuring efficient patient flow, appropriate staffing coverage, and adherence to
departmental standards.
Develop, maintain, and manage Tech Aide schedules, including monitoring PTO,
staffing gaps, and real-time coverage adjustments.
Coordinate daily assignments and responsibilities for Tech Aide staff to support
imaging workflows and optimize operational efficiency.
Partner with leadership to support workflow optimization initiatives and promote
standardization across imaging center locations.
Workflow & Metrics Management
Track and maintain daily patient metrics, including table time and operational
efficiency indicators.
Identify workflow issues and proactively escalate operational concerns to
leadership.
Support implementation of workflow improvements aimed at reducing delays and
improving patient care.
Training & Onboarding
Lead onboarding and orientation processes for all newly hired Tech Aides, ensuring
a structured and consistent experience.
Ensure completion of required training modules, competency assessments, and
departmental onboarding requirements.
Coordinate and oversee Level II MRI Safety Certification for all Tech Aides.
Maintain training records and ensure compliance with organizational and
regulatory standards.
MRI Safety & Compliance
Reinforce MRI safety protocols and ensure adherence to established safety
procedures across imaging operations.
Support compliance with MRI screening workflows and safety standards under
imaging leadership guidance.
Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
Escalate any safety concerns or compliance risks promptly to leadership.
Communication & Team Coordination
Serve as a liaison between Tech Aides, technologists, front desk teams, and
leadership to ensure seamless communication and workflow coordination.
Participate in operational meetings, contributing to workflow discussions and
departmental planning.
Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes efficiency and a positive
patient experience.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and organized records, including training documentation,
operational logs, and departmental tracking tools.
Support leadership in monitoring staff attendance, accountability, and workflow
performance.
Contribute to performance evaluations, feedback discussions, and operational
reviews as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • At least one year of Medical Imaging experience
  • BLS
  • CMA Preffered


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or clinical training
preferred.
Completion of SVC program and workflow training required.
Prior experience in healthcare, imaging center, or radiology support environment
preferred.
Previous supervisory, leadership, or staff scheduling experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Basic computer proficiency required, including use of scheduling and reporting systems.
Knowledge of MRI safety workflows and protocols preferred.
