Job description

MRI Tech Aide - Outpatient | Arlington, VA | Saturday & Sunday | 12-hour shifts
Fairfax Radiology Centers - the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia - is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Arlington/Ballston, Virgnia.
In this vital support role, you'll assist MRI Technologists with clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your professionalism, organization, and care will make all the difference in keeping our center running seamlessly - and in making patients feel at ease.

About the Role
  • Location: MRI Center - Arlington, Virginia
  • Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • No weekends, holidays, or call
  • Free on-site parking

What You'll Do
  • Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately
  • Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table
  • Start IV access prior to procedures (when applicable)
  • Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process
  • Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders
  • Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate
What You'll Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office preferred
  • IV start experience highly preferred
  • Experience in one of the following roles preferred:
    • Medical Assistant
    • MRI / CT Tech Aide
    • ED Tech
    • EMT or Paramedic
    • Nursing Student (after first clinical rotation)
  • BLS certification required upon hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
