Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) seeks a dedicated 10-month Clinical Instructor to serve in the Radiologic Technology program, instructing students in Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This faculty member will deliver high-quality clinical, didactic, and laboratory instruction while ensuring students gain the competencies required for advanced imaging practice. The Clinical Instructor collaborates closely with program faculty, clinical sites, and students to support skill development, patient-care competence, and preparation for professional certification examinations.
The Radiology Instructor is responsible for: 1) teaching assigned courses and components in radiologic science, CT, and MRI during the 10-month contract period; 2) developing lesson plans, assessments, lab exercises, and instructional materials as needed; 3) assisting with scheduling, communication with clinical sites, and coordination of clinical rotations as needed; 4) contributing to student learning assessment, program improvement, and documentation requirements; 5) attending meetings, participating in professional development, and supporting program recruitment activities; and 6) assisting with preparation of accreditation documents for initial and continuing accreditation.
Qualified applicants possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- Qualified to teach the subject matter
- 2 years of documented clinical experience
- Holds the ARRT credential or equivalent in Radiography
- Credentials in CT and MRI preferred
-Documented experience in instruction, supervision, evaluation, and student guidance.
-Teaching experience preferred.
