Location: Bethlehem, PA (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

 

Job Description:

Customer is seeking a Senior IBM MQ Administrator with hands-on experience building IBM MQ systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate excels at complex troubleshooting, communicates effectively with both technical and business teams, and values a culture focused on integrity, high standards, and collaboration.

Required Skills:

โ€ข            10+ years of experience

โ€ข            Strong hands-on expertise in IBM MQ Administration

โ€ข            In-depth understanding of messaging concepts and design patterns

โ€ข            Proven experience implementing High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions

โ€ข            MQ Security (TLS, CHLAUTH, OAM)

โ€ข            Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration

โ€ข            Working knowledge of IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE), formerly IBM Integration Bus (IIB)

โ€ข            Experience with shell scripting for automation and operational efficiency

โ€ข            Demonstrated ability to drive impact quickly, lead change, and work effectively with minimal supervision

 

Good to have Skills:

โ€ข            Experience integrating applications with WebSphere Application Server

โ€ข            Design, develop, and deliver IBM MQ solutions, including Multi-Instance Queue Managers and High Availability (HA) architectures

โ€ข            Lead IBM MQ deployments, including automation and standardization initiatives

โ€ข            Participate in on-call support on a rotational basis to ensure platform stability and availability

โ€ข            Contribute to AWS cloud migration and modernization projects

โ€ข            Collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams

โ€ข            Provide hands-on technical solutions to complex business challenges, translating requirements into scalable technical and process solutions

โ€ข            Interpret business and technical requirements, perform complex analysis, and present options and recommendations to achieve desired outcomes

โ€ข            Develop advanced technology concepts and guide them through implementation into production-ready solutions

โ€ข            Own middleware patching and upgrade activities, including IBM MQ and IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE)
