The selected candidate will help solve complex system-level issues, guide cross-functional technical efforts, support customers in fielded and production environments, and strengthen verification, troubleshooting, and sustainment execution across the program lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead systems engineering activities across integration, verification, deployment, sustainment, and field support for complex defense communications systems.
  • Provide technical direction for satellite communications, radio frequency, and military communications solutions across fielded and production environments.
  • Perform system-level troubleshooting, failure isolation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to improve mission readiness and reduce repeat issues.
  • Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, work instructions, specifications, test artifacts, and support records.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues and support program execution.
  • Support customer engagements, field investigations, technical reviews, demonstrations, and deployment activities for classified and mission-critical systems.
  • Design, maintain, or improve automated test solutions and verification workflows using industry-standard tools for hardware and system test.
  • Apply radio frequency test methods and laboratory equipment to evaluate performance, support integration, and confirm system readiness.
  • Travel up to 25% to support customer sites, field activities, and technical reviews.
  • Support work in classified environments and maintain compliance with applicable security and handling requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; or a graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience supporting MQ-1 Predator, MQ-1C Gray Eagle, MQ-9 Reaper, RQ-4 Global Hawk, or similar airborne and tactical communication platforms.
  • Experience supporting the full systems engineering lifecycle for defense communications, airborne mission systems, or other hardware and software intensive platforms.
  • Experience with system integration, verification, deployment, sustainment, field troubleshooting, and cross-functional technical coordination.
  • Experience developing technical procedures, process instructions, specifications, and other verification or support documentation.
  • Experience using radio frequency test equipment such as signal sources, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, or similar laboratory tools.
  • Experience supporting MQ-1 Predator, MQ-1C Gray Eagle, MQ-9 Reaper, RQ-4 Global Hawk, Rover, FEURY, or similar airborne and tactical communication platforms.
  • Background with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand for automated test development and support.
  • Familiarity with compact, tapered, or mini compact antenna range environments and associated procurement or statement of work documentation.
  • Experience leading antenna range, microelectronics test, electromagnetic interference, or similar technical teams.
  • Knowledge of containment planning, field failure trending, and continuous process improvement methods in production and sustainment settings.
  • Experience working directly with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve field issues and improve mission readiness.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification, Federal Communications Commission radiotelephone license, or related technical credentials
