Job description

Position Overview RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award. Roles and Responsibilities * Operate Group 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in support of training missions
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction on UAS operations on the following topics:
  • Airspace requirements, deconfliction, and general rules of the road
  • Ground operations and flight safety
  • Pre-flight/post flight inspections and repair process
  • Mission planning to integrate UAS platforms Fly profiles in accordance with the Unmanned Aircraft System Operator's Permit (UASOP) course of instruction
  • Ensure all UAS/remote pilot operations comply with UASOP flight profiles and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Department of War (DOW) regulations and guidance
  • Train international military and law enforcement personnel with varying levels of technical experience
  • Assist in curriculum development and updates to training materials
  • Support field training exercises and provide technical mentorship
Collaborate with staff to ensure mission success and instructional quality Required Qualifications and Experience Active Secret security clearance
  • At least two years' experience flying UAS platforms in tactical or instructional settings (i.e., MQ-9 Reaper, RQ-7 Shadow, large fixed-wing UAS, and large rotary wing UAS)
  • Experience instructing diverse groups, especially in international or cross-cultural environments
  • FAA Part 107 or U.S. Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) certification
  • Familiarity with DOW policies related to UAS operations
  • Experience with technical writing and curriculum development
  • NEC 805A (Instructor)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Willingness to travel and work in dynamic field conditions
Bachelor of science degree or a high school diploma and at least four years of directly related military training and experience in robotics/UAS operations Preferred Qualifications RPA Senior Pilot certification
  • Manufacturer-specific UAS training or certifications
  • Advanced UAS ratings, such as Instructor (I) and/or Evaluator (E)
  • Instructional design or teaching credentials
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
