Job description

JOB TITLE: CONTRACT UAV PILOT II-III DEPARTMENT: FLIGHT OPERATIONS REPORTS TO: DEPLOYMENT SITE LEAD CLASSIFICATION: CONTRACT POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 17 TRAVEL REQUIRED: 100% OCONUS CLEARANCE TYPE: SECRET Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, supports the ground and flight operations of an Unmanned Aircraft System during stateside and overseas operations . Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and the success of mission objec tiv e s , the pi lot will be a cross-functional member of a two-man team, functioning as either the Pilot-in- C ommand or Flight Engineer. Duties/Responsibilities: * Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.

Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks. Remote pilot a UAS , following a specific flight plan or modifying flight plans to meet mission objectives . * Assist flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.

Support flight operations outside the continental United States for up to six ( 6 ) months at a time , or as mutually agreed upon. Conduct flight demonstrations for customers at remote locations. * Assist team with furthering and refining training curriculum, documentation, and standardization materials.

Troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize mission readiness rates . Ensure compliance with all FAA / host nation / customer regulations as applicable. * Perform other duties as necessary.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS LEVEL II : High school diploma or GED certificate . 2-5 years of relevant experience . * Minimum of 500 hour s of flight experience as a Pilot in Comman d.

Must currently possess and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance . Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance. * Able to obtain FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

Up to 100 % CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required . Position is contingent on the ability to pass required flight and deployment physicals . * Expert knowledge and extensive experience with Piccolo or Quattro flight controllers .
