Job description

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Welder to join our team at our Cleveland Cliffs Facility located in Middletown, OH. This individual will support General Managers and all contacts at client locations by performing essential welding and infrastructure repair duties.
Shift Details:
Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Stick weld using 6010 & 7018 rod to repair infrastructure up to 1" thick.
  • Read blueprints and fabricate parts from prints.
  • Coordinate with site contacts to ensure all work meets plant and customer requirements.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of welding-related experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of all processes managed on the job site, including PPE, safety rules, policies, and procedures for the designated plant location.
  • Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions and safe work practices in written or verbal format.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical business procedures and customer requirements.
  • Ability to calculate general figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentage, area, and volume.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
