About Us
We are a single-source solution for the design and implementation of sophisticated mechanical and plumbing systems. Our integrated in-house production model utilizes coordinated BIM models to produce precise fabrication documentation to help ensure accurate installation.
Job Summary
The Estimator is responsible for all phases of the estimating and bidding process including preconstruction services and performing estimate take-offs. Thorough knowledge of the mechanical construction bidding processes is required. Specific expertise with Mechanical and HVAC systems; estimating in construction piping, sheet metal and plumbing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.
  • Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Review contract and bid documents; review and understand scope for project turnover
  • Attend walk-throughs, pre-bid and scope clarification meetings
  • Quantitative take-off and computer entry
  • Prepare scope letters and proposals

Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years related experience in the construction industry, piping, sheet metal and plumbing estimating, preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or construction related field desirable.
  • Knowledge of the construction contract documentation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Familiarity with Accubid, Bluebeam, Quick Pen, ProCore and other mechanical, technical, or construction programs.
  • Familiarity with project management/document control software.
  • Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.

Compensation Range: Minimum annual base salary $75,000 to maximum annual base salary $95,000
Other Compensation: position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
