As an In Home Moving Consultant, you'll meet with customers in their homes, evaluate the scope of their move, and prepare professional, accurate estimates. This role combines customer service, sales, logistics, and problem solving to create a seamless moving experience from the very first appointment.

You will become an expert in identifying customer needs, recommending the right crew size and services, planning complex moves, and ensuring every job is thoroughly documented so our operations team can execute at the highest level.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet with residential customers in their homes to assess moving needs.
  • Build trust through professionalism, honesty, and exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare accurate moving estimates based on the home's contents, access conditions, specialty items, packing requirements, travel, and logistics.
  • Recommend the appropriate crew size, equipment, trucks, and scheduling needed to complete each move safely and efficiently.
  • Educate customers on our services, pricing, valuation coverage, and moving process.
  • Create detailed job notes that clearly communicate all important information to dispatch and moving crews.
  • Identify challenges before move day, including tight access, stairs, elevators, parking restrictions, fragile items, specialty equipment, appliance handling, and furniture disassembly.
  • Follow up with prospective customers, answer questions, and help guide them through the booking process.
  • Work closely with operations, scheduling, dispatch, and customer service to ensure every move is properly planned.
  • Represent MVM Moving with professionalism while maintaining strong sales and outstanding customer satisfaction.
