Donor Engagement Manager

Compensation: $91,482 / year
Description
PURPOSE
The Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for leading a best-in-class team of fundraisers to generate financial support by developing relationships with current and prospective donors. The Manager will provide leadership and supervision to the bi-national donor engagement team and provide analysis and financial reporting of fundraising programs.
This position is full-time at 36 hours a week and offers a hybrid work schedule, an attractive benefits package (including retirement fund contribution), and four weeks' vacation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
  1. Provide leadership and supervision of the bi-national donor engagement team.
  2. Facilitate the annual planning process and establish performance metrics for entity relations, major, middle, and planned giving donor files in alignment with Resonate's ministry priorities.
  3. Provide accountability and support to team members, ensuring the annual regional development plans are effectively implemented, and provide evaluation and upgrading of donor development activities for effective performance.
  4. Participate as a member of the Mission Advancement leadership team, providing input for advancement activities and strategic issues
  5. Manage a major donor portfolio to generate support for the ministry.
  6. Develop a moves management strategy for assigned portfolio
  7. Identify donor funding opportunities and collaborate on proposal development with Communications.
  8. Provide appropriate reporting to donors, including impact reports and opportunities to participate in ministry visits.
  9. Promote Planned Giving opportunities with assigned donors
  10. Maintain accurate records in the database on related fundraising activity.
  11. Lead fundraising team members throughout the employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, training, goal-setting, managing and recognizing performance and inspiring employee growth.
  12. Identify and address current trends that affect Resonate Global Mission's fund development plans and its relationships with its donors.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:
QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Able to support the mission, vision and values of the CRCNA.
  2. Understanding and passion for the mission of God and ability to communicate enthusiasm for the ministry of Resonate Global Mission.
  3. Demonstrated ability in executing fund development principles and how best to integrate these into donor engagement and support for Resonate.
  4. Ability to plan, manage, and monitor a development budget and demonstrate return on investment of development activities.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills (listening skills) and is able to deal with a variety of audiences of all ages and diverse settings.
  6. Demonstrated capacity and skill to lead, collaborate, and network in a team environment.
  7. Demonstrated well-developed organizational skills to direct the activities of self and others to ensure projects are completed and targets achieved.
  8. Demonstrated proficiency in commonly used computer applications, internet research and constituent relationship management tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's degree is preferred, in a related field such as business, marketing & communications or nonprofit management, or equivalent work experience.
2. Advanced demonstrated experience and success in fundraising
3. Intermediate experience in leading teams.
4. Certificated Fundraising Executive or related accreditation is an asset.
