Job description

The Material Handler will support the day to day warehouse and manufacturing operations to include material movement, staging, issuing, computer transactions, inventory accuracy and forklift duties.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Operates various material handling equipment to include sit-down forklift, electric pallet jacks, turret truck and hand trucks to move material in designated areas.
  • Process inventory transactions using ERP System-Oracle.
  • Responsible for pulling materials listed on Move orders.
  • Coordinates with production and warehouse to ensure production has the materials to complete scheduled production runs.
  • Stages materials for production and processes returns.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of semi-trailers.
  • Performs cycle counts of inventory as required, investigates
  • Must follow all GMP’s, SOP’s and company policies.
  • Must follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers’ license.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and other areas in the department.
  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus work experience in warehousing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Oracle experience, a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Climb on and off forklifts frequently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment which may include loud noise levels, for extended periods of time.  Long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.
