Purpose

The Connections Coordinator supports the Next Steps Director by executing connection strategies and coordinating volunteer teams, systems, and environments that help people move from guest to fully engaged disciple. This role ensures every person experiences a welcoming environment, clear next steps, and opportunities to engage in worship, biblical community, and serving.


Job Responsibilities


Culture of Connection & Hospitality

  • Coordinate and support first impressions teams (greeters, ushers, hospitality center)
  • Create welcoming and spiritually aware environments where people feel seen, known and valued
  • Execute guest follow-up processes to ensure consistent and meaningful connection
  • Support the Next Steps Class through logistics, communication, and follow-up
  • Ensure every guest and attender is given a clear next step toward deeper engagement


Connection Pathways & Systems

  • Implement systems that move people within guest → attending → connecting → serving → growing
  • Assist individuals in discovering their spiritual gifts and connecting to ministry teams
  • Help facilitate connections into next steps (small groups and biblical community)
  • Maintain and utilize church management systems to track engagement and next steps
  • Monitor and communicate engagement data to support ministry decisions


Volunteer Coordination & Development

  • Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers across connection environments
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to identify and meet volunteer needs
  • Help place individuals in serving roles aligned with their spiritual gifts
  • Encourage, support, and celebrate volunteers to cultivate a healthy, mission-minded culture


Ministry Coordination & Support

  • Assist the Next Steps Director in executing connection strategies and ministry initiatives
  • Work alongside Connection Coordinators across campuses to ensure consistent support for Central services
  • Coordinate logistics and communication for Next Steps-related environments and events
  • Support cross-ministry collaboration to ensure alignment in connection and discipleship pathways
  • Help ensure consistency across all connection environments and experiences
