Alvand Transportation is recognized as the fastest growing and most professional transportation company in Southern California. We are currently seeking responsible, dedicated, and proactive individuals to join our team as Motor Coach Operators.

Responsibilities:

  1. Safe Operation of Motor Coaches:
    • Safely operate motor coaches, ensuring the safety of passengers and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the coach is in proper working order.
    • Report any vehicle maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing their needs and ensuring a pleasant travel experience.
    • Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially those with special needs or disabilities.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
  3. Route Management:
    • Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely arrival and departure at each stop.
    • Adjust routes as needed based on traffic conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, while keeping passengers informed of any changes.
  4. Compliance and Safety:
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, conduct, and uniform standards.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable laws.
  5. Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and other required documentation.
    • Complete incident reports as necessary in the event of accidents or other incidents.
  6. Communication:
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with the dispatch team, reporting any delays, issues, or emergencies promptly.
    • Keep passengers informed of any delays or changes to their journey.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by Alvand Transportation.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and new regulations related to commercial driving.

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years experience driving a commercial motor vehicle.

- Valid DOT Medical card.

- Strong customer service skills and professional attitude required.

- Valid Class A or B license with Passenger Endorsement and commercial air brake systems.

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.


All required licensing/endorsements and DOT compliance must be in place to operate.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional drivers with or without SPAB (School Pupil Activity Bus) certification.

- Experience as a school bus or transit driver.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a motor vehicle.

- Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

- Good vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices.

- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
