Job description

Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) is one of the industry's leading content providers, producing programming worldwide across genres and platforms. As the largest independent TV studio in the industry, SPTS produces 50+ shows each year including THE BOYS, PLURIBUS, SPIDER-NOIR, OUTLANDER, and PLATONIC. SPTS is part of the larger Sony Pictures Television (SPT) division. SPT is a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Group Corporation.
The Manager Marketing Operations oversees the day-to-day scheduling and workflow of creative projects, ensuring efficient processes and on-time delivery across the department. This role partners closely with Creative Marketing leadership, producers, and cross-functional teams to manage resources, maintain timelines, and support the successful execution of creative initiatives across digital, print, and motion platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
  • Project & Workflow Management
    • Manage day-to-day creative workload across designers, editors, writers/producers, and production teams
    • Build and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
    • Plan and lead project kick-offs, review sessions, and presentations
    • Track timelines, deliverables, and budgets; proactively identify risks and solutions
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including notes, next steps, and work orders
  • Resource & Production Coordination
    • Assign resources effectively to maximize team productivity and minimize downtime
    • Partner with Production to align staffing and workload needs
    • Maintain awareness of internal team capabilities and manage a roster of freelance talent
    • Ensure all assets are gathered, meet specifications, and are delivered on time
  • Process & Communication
    • Establish and optimize workflows for briefing, creative development, production, and delivery
    • Maintain and improve quality control (QC) processes
    • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external agencies
    • Oversee project communication to ensure clarity, professionalism, and alignment
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and expectations
  • Leadership & Execution
    • Act as a proactive problem-solver, anticipating project needs and resolving issues
    • Support a collaborative, positive team environment
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
    • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and business needs

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in production, creative services, marketing, or a related field (agency, network, or studio environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of design, digital, video, and broadcast production workflows (streaming knowledge a plus)
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept through delivery independently
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Familiarity with digital and print production workflows; basic knowledge of non-linear editing systems
  • Proficiency in Mac environments and Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

The anticipated base salary for this position is $93K to $120K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
