Job description

This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our showroom in Seattle, Washington. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

A second preferred location would be based out of our Corporate headquarters near Portland, Oregon.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior Graphic Design at Columbia Sportswear, you will shape the visual identity and storytelling that connects our outdoor apparel and footwear with consumers through our wholesale partners. They collaborate with marketing, product, and digital teams to create compelling content that highlights Columbia's commitment to performance, sustainability, and authentic outdoor experiences.

  • Partner crossfunctionally to align creative strategies with business objectives and audience insights

  • Will own the creative story telling, digital creative execution and brand customizations for our Wholesale partners

  • Assists in the coordination of information to ensure ongoing collaboration and program execution.

  • Support and leads in process optimization and seek out efficiencies.

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience specializing in graphic design, or related field.

  • 5-8 years' experience of professional experience in related position.

  • Must have 5-8 years experience as a Graphics Designer working with Macintosh based graphic art programs in progressively responsible roles.

  • Ability to craft brand relevant copy.

  • Experience presenting concepts to executive level management.

  • Experience in Lifestyle/outdoor photography, video direction, motion graphics

  • Sustainable design and materials storytelling experience.

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate creative concepts to stakeholders

  • Familiarity with AI tools, digital platforms, social media creative, and ecommerce visuals.

  • Exposure to the outdoor and/or fashion industry preferred.

  • Able to prioritize, multi-task, and handle pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Able to adhere to a high standard of quality while meeting deadlines.

  • High proficiency with the Adobe Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills as this role may interface with several cross-functional teams.

  • Assists in the coordination of information to ensure ongoing collaboration and program execution.

  • Ability to self-manage and operate independently and with discretion. Ability to work effectively under pressure.
