Create scroll-stopping motion graphics and digital content that shapes customer experiences at global scale.

RUN Studios and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a highly-motivated, trend-obsessed Motion Graphic Designer to own the creation of high-quality motion graphics, digital artwork, and promotional creative assets. This is a part-time role (~20/hours per week) on a 3-4 month contract. While this is a remote position, RUN Studios can only consider candidates currently residing in the following states at this time: CA, CO, FL, ID, MI, NJ, NY, OR, TX, WA.

The ideal candidate combines strong graphic design and motion design capabilities with the ability to bring concepts to life through storyboards, animation, and video editing. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this individual will contribute creative ideas, translate feedback into polished deliverables, and ensure all work aligns with established brand standards and project objectives. Success in this role requires balancing multiple deadlines while delivering visually compelling content that meets business goals, creative direction, and quality expectations.

As a Motion Graphic Designer, You Will

  • Create and design visually appealing digital artwork.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing Storyboards for various campaigns.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions and project meetings.
  • Implement feedback from clients and team members to refine artwork.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and software updates.
  • Ensure that all artwork is completed within project timelines.
  • Assist in the design and creation of promotional materials.
  • Adhere to company guidelines and standards in all designs.
  • Create and edit motion animation content according to established templates and creative direction.
  • Deliver high-quality motion video edits that meet business goals and project requirements within established timelines.
  • Handle multiple project deadlines while maintaining consistent quality standards.

  • Make creative decisions to enhance video outputs within defined parameters.

In This Role, You Bring

  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D Software, Illustrator and InDesign for Tools and with Figma.
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Artist and Motion Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of digital art styles and motion work.
  • Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premiere and video editing software).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of color theory, digital painting, and drawing techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a customer-facing editorial, merchandising, social media, or creative role for retailer, publisher, media company, or consumer brand.
  • Portfolio showcasing editorial calendars, trend reports, product curations, merchandising strategies, or related work.
  • Extensive knowledge of the contemporary retail landscape, brands, creators, and consumer trends.
  • Fluency with social media and influencer marketing, including creators and communities across demographic segments.
  • Experience partnering closely with content creators, photographers, stylists, or creative teams to develop customer-facing content.

Compensation

Pay Range: $58.00 - $65.00 (Hourly)    

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.  

Benefits:

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
