Position Purpose:
Supports Culture & Communications team with their graphic design needs. Ability to create visual content that sharpens understanding of a business concepts or strategy. Enhance storytelling and help design effective communications and presentations, using graphics, animation and video.
Responsibilities include design solutions for digital signage channels, print and web collateral, presentations, and assets for internal communication channels. Role also includes asset management, freelance coordination, support for animation/ video production and management of deliverables.
Job Description
Ability to design, develop and edit various short-form videos and animations. Take content and build engaging assets to use across communication vehicles.
Setup and manage project plans for photo shoots and maintain timelines and schedules. Manage the organization and maintenance of the digital asset library with updated photography needs. Use photography skills for on-location shoots, headshots, team events and more.
Work simultaneously on multiple projects on multiple timelines, managing work and expectations across teams as needed.
Exceptional knowledge of visual design and motion graphics. Demonstrated proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity.
Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of cross-functional business partners. Also provide creative choices in meetings and reviews.
Demonstrates a high attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable working both collaboratively and individually
Key Responsibilities
50% - Develop overall creative for design projects in support of team priorities, using animations, videos, infographics, social and online assets, print collateral, presentations, etc.
25% - Advise internal communication partners on creative strategy and guide visual concepts that inspire and inform respective audiences. Provide solutions for creative needs.
20% - Manage projects and creative timelines, ensuring all deliverables are designed, proofed and delivered on time. Ensure the look and feel of the final product is consistent with The Home Depot message and brand.
5% - Maintain digital asset library, including obtaining timely assets from internal partners on an ongoing basis, coordinating bi-annual refreshes, maintaining platform technology and accessibility, and ensuring relevant file formats.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
This position reports to Mgr Visual Communications & Home Depot TV.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint is required. Also experience in Adobe Premier & After Effects or Final Cut Pro.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, animation, or similar discipline or equivalent work experience required
