Job description

Overview
Titan America is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our Roanoke Cement Plant team located in Troutville, Virginia. This individual will provide technical expertise in the areas of industrial power distribution, control systems, and plant automation. The role will support maintenance, reliability, and capital improvement initiatives, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation system issues across the plant, including medium voltage systems, motors, drives, and control panels.
  • Design, program, and optimize industrial automation and control systems using Allen Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk HMIs, VFDs, and Kinetix motion control systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Lead or support capital projects related to electrical upgrades, new equipment installations, or system integrations.
  • Provide support during plant outages, including planning, execution, and commissioning of electrical work.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for electrical systems.
  • Ensure plant electrical systems comply with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and other applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support production goals and minimize downtime.
  • Mentor and train plant electricians and technicians on system operation, troubleshooting, and safety best practices.
  • Support energy efficiency and process improvement initiatives across the plant.
