Job Summary/Overview
Machine parts per engineering & tool design drawings, sketches, and verbal request
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to read part prints and perform basic trigonometry functions of triangles and normal machine shop calculations.
  • Create fixtures to hold parts while machining

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Math skills is a must
  • Critical thinking
  • Must be able to interpret documents such as manufacturing prints and work order packets.
  • Ability to complete forms as required by work center.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detailed training in CNC machine operation is preferred.
  • Former experience with Trax type machines preferred.
  • Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
