Job Summary:
As part of the advanced technical team at Ramco Innovations, the application Engineer provides pre and post-sales support to internal and external customers on the application, integration and use of Ramco products, including: pre-sales presentation of products, technologies and solutions, application concepts, product selection, application design, support integration of Ramco products into existing systems, communications support, sizing installation support, training, programming, design concepts, proof of concept, debugging and troubleshooting.

Essential Job Requirements:
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support on assigned product lines.
  • Assist sales associates with preparation of accurate bills of materials and quotations for products, systems, and technical services.
  • Assist with the demo process (build, dispatch, maintain) for use by other technical support staff, outside sales, and customers.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • Develop and conduct product training/information sessions.
  • Follow-up on emails daily.
  • Will attend vendor training to maintain a high level of product and vendor knowledge.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
  • Additionally, the AE supports enhanced services through advanced solutions, plc programming, motion and motor control, and value added engineering to drive customer success and business growth.
  • Travel to customer sites.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced self-starter capable of identifying, sizing, selecting, and quoting single and multi-axis motion control solutions involving all motion technologies on our line card (mechanical positioners and components, robotics, gearboxes, servos, steppers, motion/machine controls, AC & DC drives and motors, feedback devices and value add services). Experience with automation products (sensors, PLC's, HMI's) is also highly desirable. Bachelor's degree (BSME or BSEE preferred) in a technical discipline preferred with a minimum of 1-3 years industry related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and maintain an approved motor vehicle record (MVR)
