Job description

Title: Mortgage Support Analyst – Mortgage Operations

Location: Richmond, VA | 100% Onsite

Duration: 15-Month Contract

Shift: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM or 10:30 AM–7:00 PM


We are seeking a Mortgage Support Analyst to support internal mortgage operations teams as part of a Correspondent Lending migration to Empower.

This is a Mortgage Operations Help Desk role—not a traditional IT Help Desk. The analyst will provide phone-based support and troubleshoot mortgage process and system issues for Loan Officers, Processors, Underwriters, Closers, and other mortgage teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inbound phone support for mortgage operations users.
  • Troubleshoot mortgage origination, processing, underwriting, and closing issues.
  • Support Empower/LOS, DU (Desktop Underwriter), LP/LPA, and mortgage workflow issues.
  • Investigate loan validation errors, data discrepancies, and system issues.
  • Document cases in Salesforce and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Educate users on mortgage processes and system functionality.


Required

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Mortgage industry experience in Loan Processing, Underwriting, Origination, Closing, Servicing, or Mortgage Operations.
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable with phone-based support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Richmond, VA and the required late-day shift.


Preferred:

Empower, Encompass, DU, LP/LPA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Correspondent Lending, Salesforce experience.
