Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Intake in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.


Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

    Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, managing visitor access, and supporting security-related protocols for a healthcare location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site procedures.
  • Answer questions, direct patients, visitors, and staff to appropriate areas, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or assistance needs.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • Must be able to work in and around the hospital morgue.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
