TITLE: Certified Nurse Assistant Program Instructor CLASSIFICATION: Certified
FLSA: Exempt DEPARTMENT: Curriculum
SALARY: $48,000-$113,997 WORK YEAR: 180 Days
REPORTS TO: Building Principal or Designee
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's Degrees in Nursing
  2. Registered Nurse with current Illinois Nursing License and minimum of two years nursing experience.
  3. Completion of the Illinois Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor Course.
  4. One year experience working in either/or extended care unit, geriatrics department, chronic care unit, hospice, swing bed unit of hospital, or other long-term care setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Certified Nurse Assistant Program Instructor -
  • Participates in organizing program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in trade
  • Participates in preparing outline of instructional program and assembles material to be presented in accordance with school policies and curricula
  • Plans and supervises work of students, individually or in small groups, in laboratory and/or clinical
  • Tests and evaluates achievement of student theoretical/practical knowledge and trade skills
  • Places and supervises students at the clinical site and/or laboratory
  • Assists the school in developing and maintaining a quality program of instruction
  • Maintains currency in teaching field through professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned
