Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Psychiatry Physician General Psychiatrist practice is seeking a qualified physician for MD. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Location: Maryland
Specialty Needed: General Adult Psych
BC/BE Requirements: BC/BE
Length Of Assignment: Ongoing starting October 2018
Facility Type: Hospital
Patient Volume: 12-15 patients per day
Call Requirements: None
Other Information: Inpatient
Immediate opening for an Adult Psychiatrist in Maryland. Experience with co-morbid substance use disorders is a plus. Please submit a current CV and give us a call today to discuss your availability.
Responsibilities include coverage of a 12-bed inpatient team in general Adult Psychiatry:
oThe diagnostic range includes primary affective and psychotic disorders; most common dxs are schizophrenia and major depressive disorder
oApproximately 65% of our inpatients have co-morbid substance use disorders (so having the ability to prescribe Suboxone upon discharge is a plus but not mandatory)
oPatients are generally between 18 and 65 yrs old
oGoal average length of stay for the unit is 6 days
oPatient evaluation & documentation includes admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, discharge summaries. Other clinical expectations include family meetings, involuntary commitment hearings when applicable, clinical review panels when applicable.
oCross-coverage for colleagues on vacation is required (responsibilities generally split between remaining providers)
