Monolith Commercial Group is a growing commercial construction and renovation firm specializing in hospitality renovations, interior office build-outs, and specialized renovations within occupied spaces. Our team is built around accountability, communication, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality projects while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support Project Managers and field operations teams throughout all phases of construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can take direction and execute independently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a larger leadership role within the company.

This position offers significant opportunity for advancement as the company continues to expand throughout the commercial renovation sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with daily project coordination and administration
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor communications
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders
  • Assist with project scheduling and milestone tracking
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice review processes
  • Coordinate material procurement and deliveries
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting documentation
  • Help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Assist with quality control and project closeout documentation
  • Coordinate with superintendents and field personnel to support daily operations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Help maintain safety standards and company procedures on all projects
  • Support occupied-space renovation logistics to minimize disruption to clients and guests

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience in commercial construction or project coordination preferred
  • Experience in hospitality renovations, tenant improvements, or interior renovations is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and follow through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required based on experience
