About the Role:
Somerset Learning Center is looking for a knowledgeable and reliable English Teacher or Elementary Education teacher to join our team in Raritan, NJ.  This is a great opportunity to make a difference in students' lives! This position is ideal for a full time English teacher looking to tutor after school, as well as the retired teacher who wants to continue helping students part time.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual instruction/tutoring to students in K-12 in decoding, reading comprehension, and writing skills
  • Prepare students for reading/writing sections of SAT and other standardized tests (we will train)
  • Excellent ability to communicate and encourage students
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related fiels
  • State Teaching Certification
  • 2+ Years prior teaching experience at elementary, middle or high school level
  • Conveniently located to our office
