West Valley Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally attuned Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist. This full-time position allows for a remote work setting, which offers flexibility while ensuring you can dedicate your skills to treating clients effectively. Our clinic's hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the needs of our patients. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive team of mental health professionals, where teamwork, cultural competency, and ongoing education are highly valued.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that sensitively account for the cultural and personal backgrounds of each patient.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that utilize proven therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's specific challenges.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on the unique needs of patients and promoting overall resilience and wellness.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care and continuity of services.
• Provide crisis intervention support and manage emergencies with a calm, professional demeanor, ensuring client safety and immediate assistance.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment pathways, and available community resources to empower their healing journey.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential client records in adherence to legal standards and ethical practice.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency workshops to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health care to enhance service delivery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid professional licensure in New York State as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and a commitment to evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on cultural responsiveness and inclusivity.
• Effective crisis intervention abilities and a calm approach in stressful situations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
• Adherence to professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

• Previous work experience within a community mental health setting, ideally serving a multicultural population.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices for virtual therapy sessions.
• Engagement in ongoing professional development and cultural competency training.
