Director of Nursing (RN) – Cook/Buhl, MN
Our Cook/Buhl Carefree Living community's are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our growing and established Memory Care and Assisted Living campus. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm based on the needs of the facility. We provide an outside after-hours triage service to support our communities.

Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical and departmental functions of the assisted living and memory care communities they manage. Ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance by providing oversight and direction to all levels of nursing staff. Implement the nursing process including assessment, case management, diagnosis, planning, goal setting, implementation, and evaluation according to MDH licensing. Meet with clients and families to complete admission paperwork and explain care plans and responsibilities; participate in care conferences as necessary. Monitor client funding sources to ensure accurate and timely prior authorizations and billing; assist with collections as needed. Supervise and coordinate accurate and complete documentation of client and staff information. Delegate nursing functions according to state licensure and agency policies while maintaining compliance with county, state, and federal regulations. Participate in agency-wide initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts. Develop and implement safety programs to ensure the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. Perform additional functions as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director or Regional Manager of Operations. Support marketing efforts to maintain census growth and financial stability. Build and maintain referral relationships with community partners including county social workers and hospital discharge planners. Participate in the annual clinical budgeting process and collaborate on revenue growth strategies. Monitor budget expenditures with nursing personnel throughout the year.

Qualifications: Current RN licensure with assisted living housing experience preferred. CPR/BLS required. Passion for working with seniors and delivering excellent care and customer service. Strong leadership, observation, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with computer systems, Internet, and Microsoft Office. Valid Driver's License in good standing with ability to travel to other locations. Ability to meet physical requirements and pass DHS background study.
