Position Summary
We are a trusted provider of medical imaging repair and maintenance services seeking an experiencedย Field Service Engineerย with proven expertise inย PET/CT systems. Thisย Baltimore-based field roleย supports customers across the region, ensuring their advanced diagnostic imaging systems are operating at peak performance.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with PET/CT imaging equipment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance ofย PET/CT diagnostic imaging systems.
- Conductย preventive maintenanceย including calibration, verification, and system testing in compliance with OEM and regulatory standards.
- Work independently and manage time effectively across multiple healthcare facilities.
- Document service activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment and company-provided tools and assets.
- Submit detailedย field service reportsย and communicate technical findings clearly.
- Collaborate with account managers and clients to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with technical training and equipment updates.
QualificationsRequired:
- 3+ years of field experienceย servicingย PET and/or CT imaging systems.
- Formal OEM training or certification from anย accredited third-party training program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driverโs license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Preferred:
- Multi-vendor/OEM experience (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
- Additional modality knowledge (e.g., MRI, X-ray, injectors) is a plus.
- Associateโs or Bachelorโs degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related technical field.
Work Schedule
- Standard hours:ย MondayโFriday, 8:00 AM โ 5:00 PM
- Flexibility required forย occasional evenings or weekends
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up toย 75 lbs, walk, stand, and reach.
- Regularly required to use hands for fine motor work and operate diagnostic tools.
- Must be able to talk, hear, and interact professionally in a clinical environment.
Work Environment
- This is aย field-based role, traveling to various healthcare and imaging facilities.
- The engineer will frequently be around high-voltage and radiological equipment.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel within aย 4-hour radius of Baltimore, MD.
- Occasionalย overnight stays or air travelย may be required based on client needs.
