Job description

Job Description
We are seeking skilled and experienced Traffic Engineers to join our team. As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for daily supervision of engineering technicians and leading the quality assurance/quality control of crash records, designing and implementing traffic control plans, conducting traffic impact studies, and analyzing transportation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, transportation planning, and project management.
```Duties```
Traffic Engineers must have strong skills in crash causation analysis to determine events, factors, patterns, and correlations that may contribute or relate to a crash event.
  • Traffic Engineers must have strong skills in data-driven safety analysis.
  • Traffic Engineers should have strong skills in crash site investigations, road safety audits, speed management, crash countermeasure development, countermeasure effectiveness evaluation, preparing and/or reviewing safety studies/reports, and developing conceptual design sketches.
  • Traffic Engineers should have knowledge of traffic operation concepts of traffic control devices, temporary traffic control zones, access management, transportation systems management, roadway inventory data management, and ability to assess and resolve traffic flow, capacity, control, and guidance issues.
  • Traffic Engineers must have strong technical writing and organizational skills.

Requirements:
  • It is desirable that Traffic Engineers hold a Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in the USA.
  • It is desirable that the Traffic Engineers possess a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification from the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
  • It is desirable that the Traffic Engineers possess a Road Safety Professional (RSP) certification from the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
