This role also includes precision machining and assembly of prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support production and engineering needs.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs complex and precise welding repairs, color matching, re-spotting, engineering changes, insert replacements, hand benching, peening, texturing, polishing, and glass spotting, maintaining tolerances as close as ยฑ0.0001 inch.Conducts comprehensive preventive maintenance on injection molds, including disassembly, inspection, and replacement of components such as springs, ejector pins, hydraulic cylinders, and limit switches.Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to accurately build, repair, or modify molds and tooling, with a solid understanding of sectional views and projections.Fabricates custom parts from sketches or specifications using various machine tools including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and welders.
