Job description

Position: FA Engineer
Supervisor: Test & FA Engineering Manager
Department: Engineering
Location: Houston or relocation required

Main functions
1) PROCESS DEVELOPMENT: The FA Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving the testing and failure analysis process of each defective good that needs to have a functional test done in the Service Center (RMA parts from DC and other parts from the internal MRB process). The FA Engineer also advises on requirements to support the Test Engineering team in building testing capability for different parts, modules, and assemblies.
2) EDUCATION: The FA Engineer is responsible for educating system technicians on all related testing and the FA process.
3) REPORTING: The FA Engineer will be responsible for creating a functional part of failure reports and supply root cause analysis together with the QA MRB team.
FA Engineer is also responsible for following the quantity of tested parts and analyse the failure rate. Check KPI-s like SNR ( 2nd Return) and NTF (No Trouble Found). Advise actions for improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not Limited to...)
1) NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION: During the introduction of new products, the FA Engineer will work together with QA and PE team to identify all parts and modules that need functional test and FA analysis. FA engineer cooperates to set up the test specification a requirements
2) QUALITY: The FA Engineer will work with the Quality MRB group in order to process all RMA and MRB units according to internal and customer/vendor requirements in terms of quantity, deadline, and value.
3) TEAMWORK: During all of the activities related to the Service Center, the FA Engineer will be required to cooperate with all departments within the Facility and will be required to act a proactive team member, taking a lead role on all testing and failure analysis related issues.
4) DOCUMENTATION: The FA engineer is responsible for creating test instructions, relevant SOPs, and process documentation for all parts and modules that need to be tested and analysed in the Service Center.
FA Engineer should work together with the QA team to create FA reports for RMA parts.
