Job description

Location: Hattie Mae White JOB SUMMARY The Engineer - Center of Excellence supports Houston ISD's enterprise ERP systems by configuring, testing, and troubleshooting functionality in modules such as Finance, HR, Payroll, and Procurement. This role works closely with senior engineers and functional analysts to maintain stable and user-friendly ERP platforms during and after the district's transition from SAP to Oracle Fusion Cloud. The Engineer contributes to system support, documentation, testing, and training efforts, ensuring that business users across the district can rely on accurate and timely technology services.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES List most important duties first 1. Assist in configuring and maintaining ERP functionality for assigned modules (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement). 2

Support end users and analysts by troubleshooting issues and responding to help desk tickets. 3. Participate in test script creation and execution for enhancements, upgrades, and bug fixes.

4. Document system changes, workflows, and user instructions to support system transparency and continuity. 5.

Provide backup support during payroll runs, year-end close, and other high-impact cycles. 6. Contribute to data cleanup, validation, and migration activities during the Oracle Fusion transition.

7. Collaborate with integration, reporting, and security teams to ensure end-to-end service. 8.

Work within established change control and incident management processes. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED 9. Recommend enhancements or automation to improve business process efficiency.

10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 11.
