Instructional Designer - Construction Academy

What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you will be at the forefront of the Construction Academy, directly influencing the adoption and success of our cutting-edge product launches. You will bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and user understanding, creating intuitive training modules that empower professionals globally while shaping the future of construction technology education.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Learning Services, product managers, and subject matter experts to design and develop high-impact training content for major product launches.

  • Record, edit, and produce professional eLearning and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) content.

  • Identify learning objectives and performance outcomes, applying sound instructional design principles to create functional, interactive materials.

  • Consult with program managers to identify learning gaps and requirements, ensuring all assets meet our quality and branding standards.

  • Package training content into learning modules and manage content within our learning systems.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Adult Education, Instructional Systems Design, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience in instructional design or video production, ideally within a software or technology environment.

  • Expertise in multimedia and AI authoring tools, including Camtasia and Articulate.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, manage competing demands, and adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

  • Proficiency in establishing learning objectives and evaluative strategies to deliver quality content.

Bonus Points For:

  • Spanish language skills.

  • Experience as an administrator for Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Docebo.

  • Working knowledge of streaming audio and video, compression methods, and file formats.

  • Experience with technical writing and usage of the Google Suite.

  • Knowledge of or experience with the construction industry.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
