About the Position

E Ink is seeking a curious and hands-on engineer to join our team in supporting the development and validation of next-generation E Ink displays.

In this role, you will contribute to new display product development by designing verification test suites and validation procedures for display controller systems and timing generation. You will analyze electro-optical performance in relation to the drive system and support investigations and root-cause analysis of system-level issues.

This role serves as a technical bridge between the electrical engineering (controller) team and the display development team, ensuring proper integration of the drive electronics with the display and reliable display operation.

The position requires strong collaboration within a cross-functional development environment and close interaction with multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive verification test suites and execute validation testing on E Ink display modules using proprietary display controllers, including:
    • Integration of display modules with driving controllers
    • Evaluation of electrical and optical performance of display modules in relation to driving system
    • Qualifying controllers’ features in context of display optical performance
    • Validation of adapter designs and associated electrical components for new displays
  • Generate and verify timing sequences for display operation
  • Act as a technical interface between the EE/controller team and the display development team to ensure proper system integration and optimal electro-optical performance
  • Investigate and resolve performance and reliability issues through systematic root-cause analysis
  • Document test methodologies, analyze data, and clearly communicate results and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in verification processes and testing methodologies
  • Support and track time-sensitive development projects
  • Qualify customer device controllers and assist in investigating customer-reported issues
  • Review electrical specifications of new display modules and ensure compatibility across system components

Qualifications

  • BSEE or MSEE
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic system testing, validation, or verification
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits and active-matrix backplanes or related technologies
