Job Summary

The Logistics & Traffic Specialist is responsible for coordinating domestic and international freight activity supporting VBC manufacturing operations. This role manages inbound shipment visibility, transportation coordination, delivery scheduling, and logistics communication to support production continuity and material flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
  • Manage communication with suppliers, carriers, freight brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays and transportation risks.
  • Coordinate deliveries to support production schedules and warehouse capacity.
  • Support import logistics activities including customs coordination and shipment documentation.
  • Maintain shipment tracking, freight visibility, and logistics records within SAP and related tools.
  • Support freight cost management and expedited shipment reduction efforts.
  • Coordinate logistics support for project-specific and long-lead materials.
  • Assist in standardizing logistics processes across VBC facilities.
  • Support KPI reporting related to freight performance and delivery reliability.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight coordination, or supply chain operations.
  • Manufacturing or construction-related experience preferred.
  • International import logistics experience strongly preferred.
  • ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shipment tracking tools.

Work Environment

  • Onsite role supporting Tracy, CA and Berwick, PA operations.
  • Frequent interaction with Procurement, Warehouse Operations, Production Control, Suppliers, and Freight Providers.
  • Flexibility may occasionally be required to support urgent shipments and operational needs.

Additional Information:

Shift Schedule: 5:00am-1:30pm

Salary Range: $42,000- $63,000 (annually)
