Job description

Join a collaborative team at the center of product innovation and financial oversight!

As a Card Product Controller on the Consumer Community Banking Controller team, you will partner with Finance, P&A, Operations, Data, Technology, and Controls to support end-to-end controllership for card products and portfolios. You will help design and maintain booking models, ensure accurate accounting and reporting, and strengthen well-controlled, scalable processes that enable new product initiatives and ongoing portfolio management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate posting of business results between the general ledger and multiple financial systems supporting Card products and portfolios
  • Support existing and new card product initiatives by developing, implementing, and maintaining booking models, accounting flows, and reporting solutions
  • Develop and deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting, analyses, and insights to support evolving business and management needs
  • Document end-to-end accounting flows, procedures, and key controls to align with agreed booking models and controllership standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Card Controllers, CFO, P&A, Data Product, Operations, Technology, and other functional teams to deliver effective controller support
  • Stay current on US GAAP and relevant regulatory rules to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and external reporting readiness
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve issues; communicate complex topics to management in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with technology, business partners, and controls to ensure reporting processes and solutions meet risk and control standards, including auditability and data lineage expectations
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in Controllers, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Product Control, or related fields
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships across the organization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to concisely articulate key insights and recommendations from large data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously while maintaining exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in Excel, SAP, and Hyperion Essbase or Dodeca
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Card/consumer lending experience or experience supporting consumer banking products
  • Experience with Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, or Tableau
  • Experience designing and documenting end-to-end processes (accounting flows, reconciliations, controls, and data lineage) in a regulated environment
