Project Manager - Modernization
Your main responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is proven project management experience. As a Schindler Project Manager, the individual will partner closely with sales representatives and customers to ensure all project specifications are fully met. This role works crossfunctionally with superintendents and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, and collaborates with local and regional management to deliver highquality, financially successful modernization projects.

This position is highly customerfocused. The ideal candidate must be able to build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and represent Schindler positively in the marketplace while driving customer satisfaction and achieving organizational financial goals.

  • Manage modernization projects from award through closeout, ensuring projects meet efficiency, schedule, and profitability targets
  • Review and book projects within one (1) week of award; notify management if required completion dates cannot be met and provide an action plan and revised timeline
  • Prepare and submit approved submittals to Engineering and/or local vendors following project booking; coordinate with factories, vendors, and superintendents to ensure all materials are available prior to project start
  • Partner with the Field Superintendent to track job progress and proactively address schedule risks, including communication of action plans when needed
  • Identify change order opportunities; prepare and submit change notices to customers in a timely manner and secure signed approval prior to performing additional work
  • Ensure timely invoicing and monitor project billing to achieve 90% collection prior to elevator turnover
  • Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance knowledge of products, services, systems, and procedures

   BS/AS degree preferred or 3 years of supplimental experience
   Excellent written and verbal communications skills
   Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & Excel

Base Salary $102,200 - $127,700

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.
