Job description

As a Construction Manager (Contracting Officer Representative), you will be responsible for performing construction management, technical oversight and contract administration support functions in support of moderate to complex Federal and leasing projects.

Location of position: GSA-Public Buildings Services (PBS)-Office of Program and Project Management (PX)

We are currently filling eighteen vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $89,508per year.   
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.

Experience providing design and construction management, technical oversight, and contract administration support for construction and/or leasing projects involving new construction, repair and alteration, modernization, and tenant improvement activities involving Federal, commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities. Such experience must include:

  • Reviewing construction-related documents such as drawings, specifications, schedules, invoices, cost estimates, technical submittals, and contractor change requests.
  • Supporting acquisition-related processes, such as preparing statements of work, cost estimates, technical analyses, and other procurement documentation. 
  • Analyzing technical, contractual, and project-related issues; evaluating alternatives; and developing practical recommendations and solutions to resolve project issues.
