We are currently looking for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.

Job Overview

The Modern Workplace Computer Systems Engineer will be responsible for administering over 4,500 Windows devices through Intune, ensuring optimal performance, resolving issues, and enhancing the end user experience. This role includes packaging and deploying client based applications, as well as developing and supporting alternative operating systems across macOS, iOS, and Android platforms. The engineer will lead efforts to integrate conferencing room technologies into management platforms, define and support client strategies, and drive support metrics success. Acting as a subject matter expert in IT infrastructure, this individual will take ownership of critical systems, lead projects, and resolve complex technical challenges. Additionally, the role involves mentoring team members and providing training to strengthen client support and application deployment capabilities across the organization. We are open to candidates at both mid-level and senior levels, seeking individuals with a solid progression of experience and demonstrated expertise in the field.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain complex IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Collaborate with leaders from other departments to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Design and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, overseeing all aspects from planning to implementation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other IT team members.
  • Conduct system audits to assess compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IT.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in Client PC Support/Engineering, supporting environments of 1,000+ devices, or 500+ devices across multiple sites/locations with Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years  of experience in Client PC Support/Engineering, supporting environments of 1,000+ devices, or 500+ devices across multiple sites/locations with Master’s Degree
  • Ability to support on call hours one week every month.
  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI; this position does not offer remote or hybrid work and does not include relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM; Mac management a plus
  • Experience with application packaging and enterprise deployment
  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation (highly desirable)
  • Self driven, continuous learner who takes initiative and embraces challenges
