Are you ready for a summer filled with adventure, laughter, and making a real difference in children's lives? The Plaistow YMCA is looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and caring Summer Camp Counselors to join our team for Summer 2026!
About Our Summer Camps
Plaistow YMCA Summer Camp provides a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children build confidence, form lasting friendships, and create lifelong memories. Our programs include:
Half-Day Pre-K Camp (Ages 4-5) - A gentle introduction to camp with age-appropriate activities, play, and social development
Camp Kelly Brook (Ages 5-12) - Traditional Summer Camp
CIT Camp (Counselors-in-Training) - Designed to help older youth develop leadership skills and prepare for future counselor roles
Campers enjoy sports, gymnastics, archery, games, and creative activities-and every day brings something new!
What You'll Do
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will:
  • Lead and supervise fun, age-appropriate activities
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive camp environment
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and healthy social skills
  • Support daily programs including sports, gymnastics, archery, and games
  • Serve as a positive role model, upholding the Y's values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

  • Mandatory Spring training will be required - save the date of May 16th, 2025
