This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while supporting our school-based initiatives. You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care and ensuring that our services align with the specific needs of our student population. • Provide direct clinical services in a virtual setting to students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.
• Conduct evidence-based assessments and screenings to evaluate student needs, creating and implementing tailored integrated care plans in collaboration with families and other providers.
• Deliver focused treatment interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, all aimed at improving the mental health and emotional well-being of each client.
• Participate actively as a member of a collaborative team, contributing to shared objectives and ensuring a coordinated approach to care.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating competence in managing acute psychological situations.
• Monitor client progress, ensuring appropriate follow-up and adjustment of care plans based on the individual’s evolving needs.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all clinical interactions within the established EHR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance your therapeutic skills and keep abreast of current trends in mental health practice.
• Contribute to agency quality improvement initiatives by sharing insights and participating in committees aimed at enhancing service delivery.

The focus of this position is on a diverse student population that includes individuals from various cultural backgrounds and those facing socio-economic challenges. You will work predominantly with clients experiencing significant psychological distress, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your ability to connect with students and their families while being sensitive to their unique circumstances will be crucial to your success in this role.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and a valid LCSW license in Connecticut are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a mental health setting, with a background in school-based mental health services preferred.
• Expert knowledge of therapeutic methodologies and evidence-based practices related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate a capacity for building rapport with clients, families, and colleagues alike.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and familiarity with telehealth technology for delivering remote services.

Experience working with children and adolescents in a school environment, a solid understanding of mental health legislation, and crisis intervention techniques will be highly regarded. Additionally, candidates with background knowledge in collaborative care models are encouraged to apply.
