Job Description

At FIS, our technology and our people are moving forward. We advance the way the world pays, banks and invests. We believe in building inclusive, diverse teams. Together, we innovate to help our colleagues, clients and communities succeed. If you're ready to grow your career and make an impact in fintech, we have one question: Are you FIS?

About the role:

We're seeking a Senior Manager to own, design, and operationalize the Compliance AI technology and data strategy across the 2nd line FIS Corporate Compliance function. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical liaison to cross-functional FIS AI teams, setting the standards for AI tools and data use within Compliance. You will work with the compliance team to document foundational processes to support AI agents, agentic workflows and other technical solutions that enhance monitoring, operational processes, and reporting capabilities. You will build the foundations of the Compliance Department AI monitoring framework and lead the compliance data and systems Testing & Monitoring program. You will liaise with other governance functions to report on program health and KPIs to Compliance leadership and other key stakeholders, participate in regulatory compliance technology and data strategy, and regularly interact with executives.

About the team:

The team you will be joining plays a critical role in advancing the Compliance function's AI and data capabilities across the FIS enterprise. We are responsible for developing and governing the AI tools, data infrastructure, and testing frameworks that underpin our compliance programs. To be successful, we need your experience navigating a complex, highly regulated financial services environment and your ability to drive cutting-edge AI solutions that enable compliance scalability, accuracy, and resilience. You will be a hands-on leader who produces deliverables day to day while shaping long-term strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Own the end-to-end Compliance AI technology and data strategy, including roadmap development, architecture decisions, and alignment with enterprise AI governance and global regulatory expectations
  • Lead engagement with the FIS cross-functional AI teams, serving as the Compliance function's primary point of contact for enterprise AI data & technology initiatives
  • Set and enforce standards for AI tools, large language models, and data use within the Compliance department, including responsible AI guardrails
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and technical solutions (including agentic workflows, LLM/SLM integrations, and automation pipelines) to enhance compliance monitoring, operations, and reporting
  • Build the foundations of the compliance AI monitoring framework, including model performance tracking, drift detection, explainability requirements, and ongoing validation protocols
  • Run the compliance data and systems Testing & Monitoring function, including design and execution of test plans, test script automation, data integrity assessments, issue identification, remediation tracking, and reporting to Compliance leadership
  • Develop relevant dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven insights that translate compliance risk into quantitative metrics, enabling leadership to assess program maturity, coverage gaps, and risk appetite alignment

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Preferred: Master's degree, J.D., or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services compliance, regulatory technology, or risk management, with demonstrated familiarity with BSA/AML, data privacy, financial crimes regulations, and regulatory examination processes
  • 8+ years of experience in data management, analytics, data governance, data architecture, AI/ML model development, or AI governance within a regulated environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams, managing cross-functional technology programs, and building positive business partner relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) required; experience with LLM orchestration tools and prompt engineering strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building agentic/AI workflows leveraging LLMs and SLMs, including retrieval-augmented generation, automated compliance testing, and intelligent document processing
  • Proficiency with compliance monitoring systems, data platforms, and dashboarding tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, PowerBI, and related database and cloud technologies preferred; familiarity with model risk management frameworks a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical AI concepts into actionable guidance for both business and technical audiences
  • Proven ability to influence critical Compliance and technology outcomes in a complex, matrixed organization that requires cross-collaboration with Business, Risk, Product, Legal, Privacy, and Information Security teams
