As a Project Manager, Vice President within the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB), Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of model development projects. In this role, you will work directly with the model developers and reviewers, as well as implementation, production and business teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that models are developed efficiently and meet business objectives. The Project Manager will manage resources and timelines, while ensuring quality control and compliance with industry standards.
Job responsibilities
  • Manage stakeholder relationships by conducting regular meetings with model users to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the Book of Work for all model development teams.
  • Manage daily operations, including ensuring the timely submission of model documentation.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with internal control functions, including Internal Audit, Control Management, and Model Risk Governance and Review, to ensure adherence to the firm's policies and governance processes.
  • Supervise the remediation of regulatory and audit findings, as well as model risk issues.
  • Manage quality assurance processes to ensure models adhere to performance and accuracy standards.
  • Support the team in adopting new technologies and methodologies to enhance model development processes.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, a quantitative field, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within a technical environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in model development.
  • Proficiency with, and willingness to use, firm-approved AI tools to improve productivity and quality while adhering to applicable policies, controls, and data handling requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Project management experience within financial services/banking.
