Job description

MobilityWorks is currently seeking a Home Access Installation Technician. Responsibilities:

  • Performing mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment, including Stair Lifts, Patient Lifts, Scooter transports, Ceiling Lifts, Power Wheelchairs/Scooters, and other Mobility & Accessibility Equipment.
  • Maintaining and repairing previously installed equipment and adaptations.
  • Conducting thorough testing to ensure the quality of installations and repairs.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues with equipment and adaptations.
  • Following written service orders accurately to complete tasks.
  • Upholding a high level of quality in adherence to company standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Experience in installing and servicing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and insurability for the use of company vehicles.
  • Strong electrical and wiring skills, including low-voltage electrical experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Background in garage doors, HVAC, or construction is a plus.
  • General construction experience is required.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of Salesforce and manufacturer applications.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on the job requirements.
