Durafleet Alpharetta Mechanic responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance services for commercial fleet customers
  • Diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Perform roadside repairs and emergency service calls as needed
  • Troubleshoot no-start conditions, electrical faults, brake systems, suspension systems, and drivability issues
  • Complete inspections and identify maintenance recommendations
  • Accurately document repairs, inspections, and labor using mobile technology
  • Communicate professionally with fleet managers, drivers, and clients
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and equipment

Durafleet Alpharetta candidate minimum experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or Mobile Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using scan tools and diagnostic software
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull tools, parts, and equipment
  • Must provide personal hand tools
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening as required by law and company policies

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

The technician will perform primarily in the field and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout DuraFleet’s service area.

Technicians must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
  • Lift and move parts, tools, and equipment
  • Safely access confined spaces and elevated work areas
  • Work around diesel engines, moving vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and mobile technology
  • Always maintain a safe and professional work environment
