Our School Nurse team collaborates with both public and private schools in all five boroughs to ensure high-quality health care is delivered to students. We are seeking compassionate and reliable Registered Nurses who are passionate about school health and eager to contribute to student success.

Position Overview

As a School RN at TheraCare, you will provide direct nursing care to students during the school day in a variety of educational settings. Here at TheraCare, we offer Full-Time School Assignments, Daily School Assignments, and Trip Coverages. This position is perfect for RNs who are seeking a predictable weekday schedule, the opportunity to work closely with students, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • •Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • •Oversee the school health office including triage, injury response, and wellness checks.
  • •Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergency situations.
  • •Communicate with parents, school staff, and agency supervisors regarding student care.
  • •Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines.
  • •Ensure adherence to all public health protocols and nursing standards.
