Mobile Service Parts Specialist

Pace Transportation Services | A Hinton Transportation Investments Company

Keep Our Mobile Technicians Moving

Do you have experience with heavy-duty truck and trailer parts? Do you enjoy solving problems, finding the right part, and being the person your team relies on?

Pace Transportation Services is looking for a Mobile Service Parts Specialist to support our growing Mobile Service team. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced diesel technicians to identify parts, manage inventory, source hard-to-find components, and keep our customers' equipment on the road.

Every day is different. One moment you may be researching an uncommon trailer component, and the next you'll be coordinating parts for an emergency roadside repair. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts customer success, we'd love to meet you.

Why Join HTI?

  • Competitive pay
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Three medical plan options to fit your needs
  • Wellness program discounts on medical premiums
  • Free virtual medical and behavioral health visits through Teladoc
  • Safe Harbor 401(k) with company match
  • Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Paid parental and bereavement leave
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Employee recognition and rewards program
  • Career growth opportunities within a company operating more than 35 locations across North America
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture where your contributions matter

What You'll Do

As the Mobile Service Parts Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our technicians and ensuring customers receive timely, accurate repairs.

Parts Identification & Technical Support

  • Research and identify heavy-duty truck and trailer parts using VINs, serial numbers, catalogs, and manufacturer resources.
  • Support Mobile Service technicians by identifying, ordering, and locating the correct parts.
  • Recommend alternative or substitute parts when needed to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with warranty processing and core returns.
  • Continue developing product knowledge and stay current on new products and industry updates.

Inventory & Logistics

  • Manage inventory for mobile service vehicles.
  • Source out-of-stock and emergency parts from vendors.
  • Receive inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Prepare parts orders for technician pickup or delivery.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and inventory transactions using our ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and customer information.

Customer Service

  • Provide accurate pricing and product recommendations.
  • Help technicians and internal customers find the best solution for immediate and long-term repair needs.
  • Work closely with Service, Leasing, Sales, and Parts teams to support efficient repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while helping keep commercial fleets operating safely and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with heavy-duty truck, trailer, diesel, or fleet parts preferred.
  • Previous experience in parts sales, parts support, service support, or customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty truck systems, trailers, diesel engines, and industry manufacturers.
  • Experience using inventory management or ERP software such as Karmak is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently move throughout the facility and warehouse.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate standard office equipment and computers.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely handle heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.

Why This Role Matters

Every minute a commercial truck or trailer is down costs our customers time and money. Your ability to identify the correct parts quickly, maintain inventory, and support our Mobile Service technicians directly impacts customer uptime and satisfaction.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with experienced professionals, and making a difference every day, this is the opportunity for you.
