Job description

Mobile HVAC Service Technician

Location: Florence, SC Area

We are seeking an experienced Mobile HVAC Service Technician to support multiple commercial facilities across the Florence, SC region. This is a strong opportunity for a technician with a solid HVAC background, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience maintaining large commercial systems in a mobile service environment.

This role is best suited for someone who is confident working independently, comfortable traveling between sites, and experienced in troubleshooting complex HVAC and building systems.

What Youll Do
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems across multiple facilities
  • Service large tonnage equipment including 30/40/50 ton units
  • Perform general building maintenance including shell maintenance, minor plumbing, and basic repairs
  • Respond to service calls and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with a small local team
  • Travel between assigned sites (up to approximately 2.5 hours within territory)
  • Complete work orders and documentation using CMMS systems
  • Conduct inspections and identify issues impacting facility operations
  • Communicate effectively with facility teams and site leadership
What Were Looking For
  • Minimum 4 years of commercial HVAC and building maintenance experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with large tonnage HVAC systems (3050 tons required)
  • Chiller experience is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record required
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
  • Supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
  • Experience in commercial facilities or multi-site service environments
  • Military HVAC experience considered a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions
  • Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, and extended driving between sites
  • Ability to carry tools and work from ladders safely
